my animals have held up way better than my jim c's, i would deffinately recomend the animals over the oddy.  also my oddy. cassette is not working so smoothly either, I think ill do a review on it soon, even after taking it apart cleaning it putting some thin lube on the pawls and double springing it that thing still skips and pops it drives me crazy.

well i've had these bad boys on now for about 8 mos of solid riding and i've just gota say that these are hands down the best pedal i've had.excellent traction and the way the pins go in is great, the pins came loose a few times in the begining but after tightning everything back up they've stayed tight.highly recommended.i ride a fair amount of street and park and i don't do pedal grinds(foot plants.lol) so that helps.

i got the sealed hamoltons and the bearings went crappy instantly... noisy, and slight play within a month
on the good side theyve been noisy and shitty for a year and havent gotten worse, and the thread through pins are awesome
theyd be a 10 outta 10 for me if the bearings werent garbage, but i buy sealed pedals so i dont have to deal with any shit til they break or the grip factor is gone!

'bout 2 days for me. I pulled em apart to grease them, but the bearings were actually cooked.

I love the feel too, though, so I guess it will be the unsealed ones next time.

cant you get replacement bearings? or find the bearing number and try a different manufacturer? beats buying new pedals...

I bent the spindle in my animal about a week ago, i had them for 5-6 months i think, i really liked them tho i might get a new pair, im not sure yet, anyone got any good suggestions, i like the design of the pin system on the new hoffman sole mates but the actual pedal body im not sure on the shape of it
