Cheap chain brakers suck. I like the regular park tool one. Just go slow and back up if it isn't lined up right.

This one smashes chains so dont use it....

lol, fuck I want that one so bad now... DAMN YOU!

Yeah, take it slow and try not to push your pins out all the way as that will suck when you run out of extra links... and always carry that tool and some extra links when street riding.

Damn that tool is sweet!

When I first started working in a bike shop I was the only one there. I fucked so many chains up with that thing.
If you can find pins that have the tapered end that snaps off it will be simple. I've never seen them for 1/8 chains.

funny, 3ride has that tool and it broke trying to put on my shadow chain on and then they used one of the lower model tools and it worked perfectly.

Theres no way the chainbreaker would break the chain its the person using it. It takes a lot of time getting it right, I broke like 10 before i got it right. Make sure that the links pin is pushed out the same distance as the other pins, and after your done pushing the pin in, bend the chain side to side to loosen it up. When the link feels loose you should be good. Ride around for 20 minutes pedalling progressively harder. Keep checking your chain (put whiteout on the pin you just put in). Sprint home and get stoked on your better chain

Not a good sign if you're just riding along and your chain breaks.
